H Y G G E

Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cosy, charming or special. Hygge (or to be “hyggeligt”) doesn’t require learning “how to”, adopting it as a lifestyle or buying anything.

About this project: Contiki challenged me to create a travel film encapsulating the notion of hygge. Being such a nuanced concept I felt the best way I could articulate this story was by expressing my feelings through poetic storytelling. This film is a reflection of my lived experience travelling the Contiki Scandinavian Adventure in the summer of 2019.
